NEUROTOXINS (Botox-$13 per unit/Xeomin-$11 per unit):
Neurotoxin injections temporarily improve the look of moderate-severe forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines by relaxing the underlying muscles. PDO THREADS:


Polydioxanone threads are used in wrinkle reduction, scar improvement and skin rejuvenation. Insertion of the threads stimulates collagen production, leading to a more youthful appearance. The use of PDO threads can be a benefit by producing long lasting improvement in skin tone, texture, and overall firmness.
*Threads are also used in trigger point therapy-injection of the threads into different areas of the body help to alleviate pain and tension. The threads create a micro-injury thereby stimulating collagen production which relaxes the muscle. It provides pain relief by reducing tension of the muscle as well. PDO threads for trigger point therapy work well when combined with other injectables like Neurotoxins for even better results.
*Threads can also be used to define the Vermillion border (the margin that separates the red border of the lip from the surrounding skin) of the lips.

RN/Aesthetic Injector

Hello, my name is Gage Rynard, and I am a registered nurse with a passion for aesthetics. I received my nursing education at Harrisburg Area Community College, where I earned an Associate's Degree in Science of Nursing.

With a total of 5 years of nursing experience, I have been working in the Emergency Department as an RN at UPMC Carlisle. Prior to that, I had over 10 years of experience as a Paramedic and 8+ years in critical care transport. This diverse background has equipped me with invaluable skills and knowledge in patient care.

I am deeply passionate about providing exceptional care to my clients, focusing not only on their physical health but also their overall wellbeing and self-esteem. I specialize in various aesthetic procedures, including Neurotoxin injections for aesthetic purposes, Lip

flip procedure, Neurotoxin for migraine relief, trigger point therapy, PDO threads for collagen production and acne scarring, as well as dermal fillers in cheeks, lips, and nasolabial folds.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with patients of all age groups, from infants to the geriatric population. This experience has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of different patient needs and provide tailored care to each individual.


I am dedicated to staying updated with the latest advancements in aesthetic nursing and continuously enhancing my skills. My goal is to help my clients achieve the appearance they desire while ensuring their safety and satisfaction.


I look forward to utilizing my expertise and passion for aesthetics as an aesthetic registered nurse, making a positive impact on the lives of my patients.

Dr. MariaElaina Sumas

MD/Aesthetic Injector

MariaElaina Sumas, MD is a Board-Certified Neurological Surgeon. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. where she was first exposed to world renowned Plastic Surgeons during Medical School and as well as during her 1 month rotation as part of her 1 year internship at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Sumas began her Neurological Surgery training at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA and transferred to Temple University hospital in Philadelphia, PA.


Her first real paying job was at Geisinger Penn State/Hershey Medical Center in 1997 and then she returned to the area in 2011 to start Neurological Spine Surgery at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She has been in independent solo private practice since 8/15/2012 with her main office in Carlisle and a satellite office in Harrisburg.


For over 6 years, Dr. Sumas and Natalie Rynard (owner of Tangles Salon and Day Spa) had discussed opening a Medical Spa as a way to help patients, clients respectively. Through the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa), they attended a Med Spa Boot Camp which focused on the medical, legal and business aspects of owning and running a "Med Spa." Knowing that there was a need for more professionals who perform these services in the Carlisle area, the inception of the "Med Spa at Tangles" came to be.


Dr. Sumas is very excited about the results that men and women can get with these minimally invasive procedures. Gage Rynard (RN/Aesthetic Injector) and Dr. Sumas both would be happy to discuss questions you might have regarding the procedures that they both perform in the Med Spa, via phone calls or with a free consultation done in person or via video if preferred. She offers neurotoxin injections for both Cosmetic and Medical reasons, as well as dermal filler services. The results can be very gratifying for the patient and Dr. Sumas, Nurse Gage and their staff.
